How many calories are in a Chipotle bowl?
A standard chicken bowl with white rice, black beans, fresh tomato salsa, cheese and lettuce is roughly 700 calories with about 50g of protein. Because a bowl skips the flour tortilla, it saves around 320 calories versus the same order as a burrito.
Build a high-protein bowl
Double protein is the single biggest lever. Double chicken pushes a bowl past 60g of protein while keeping fat low. Add beans for fiber and you have a genuinely macro-friendly meal under 700 calories.
Build a low-calorie bowl
Start lean: one protein, fajita veggies, a fresh salsa and lettuce. Skip rice, cheese and sour cream and you can land a satisfying bowl around 350–420 calories.
